Why do conveyancing costs vary?
Conveyancing costs vary from practice to practice predominantly because each law firm or conveyancing practice has different service structures.
For example, our conveyancing process is delivered through a fixed professional fee for specific inclusions. We understand, however, every situation is unique, and should you require additional specific excluded services or outlays, then there are additional costs. This enables us to keep your transaction affordable and allows you to customise your own conveyance to save on costs.
Other practices estimate the costs based on a large professional fee whilst not actually giving proper disclosure of the true costs of searches and how this can later affect you. Alternatively, other firms provide a quote on the cost of delivering a limited or defined service, such as not including essential components of the conveyance.
It is very important to look for wording in ‘quotes’ which state ‘estimate’ or subject to change and the like.
