Signing a Contract
Conveyancing Resource Centre

Can I change the conveyancing settlement date?

Yes, as long as all parties are in agreement, including any financier or outgoing mortgagor, you can change the settlement date.

If the parties are not in agreement, you must comply with the settlement date set out in your contract. If you cannot meet this deadline, you may be in breach of contract entitling the other side to affirm the contract or terminate the contract.
